English Secondary Foundations

The years through secondary school can often be very difficult. Expectations rise, class sizes grow and your school day has just doubled in size.

Cantab Education have a great deal of experience ensuring that all secondary school students ranging from Form 1 to Form 5 can be helped to adapt to their new school regime and continue to advance all the way through secondary school up until your entry into 6th form or college.

As with all Cantab Education ‘English Foundations’ courses, our main aim is to help build confidence and to reduce the fear that is often associated with secondary English in Hong Kong. Once confidence grows, students will find that through the use of innovative materials, our own course books designed specifically for Hong Kong students and the very best Native English teachers around; their language understanding, usage, confidence and ability will soar.

Class sizes for Secondary students are never more than 3 or 4 and are usually 1-2-1 to ensure that the very best progress can be made.

All Form 1 to Form 3 classes not only conform to but exceed the guidelines set out by the Curriculum Development Council here in Hong Kong while Form 4 and 5 concentrate on expanding and developing students use of English in the correct context and that complete emotional vocal control is managed throughout.
